This notice explains, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination, how we process personal data provided on this website and during quote requests.
2. Data we process
We only process data that you voluntarily provide via the contact form, by email or by phone:
- name,
- company name (if provided),
- email address,
- phone number (if provided),
- the content of your message and any attached documents (e.g. technical drawings, 3D models, project descriptions).
When serving the website, the hosting provider may briefly log the visitor's IP address and browser details for technical reasons.
3. Purpose of processing
- responding to quote requests and preparing quotations,
- communicating with prospective and existing customers,
- pre-contractual communication and fulfilling orders,
- operating the website securely.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes and we do not sell it to third parties.
4. Legal basis
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and performance of a contract (quote requests, orders);
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interest (business communication with employees of partner companies, secure operation of the website);
- Article 6(1)(c) GDPR: compliance with a legal obligation (retention of accounting records);
- Article 6(1)(a) GDPR: consent (analytics cookies).
5. Retention period
- If a quote request does not lead to an order, we keep the data for 1 year from the last contact and then delete it.
- If an order is placed, contract-related data is kept until civil-law claims become time-barred (5 years).
- Accounting records are kept for 8 years under Section 169 of Hungarian Act C of 2000 on Accounting.
- Analytics data is processed until consent is withdrawn, for a maximum of 14 months.
6. Data processors
The following service providers access personal data on our behalf, only to the extent necessary to provide their service:
- Hosting: Netlify, Inc. (44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) — serving the website.
- Form handling: Web3Forms (web3forms.com) — forwarding contact form messages by email.
- Email: Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) — receiving and storing incoming email.
- Web analytics (only with consent): Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Analytics 4.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area are based on safeguards complying with Chapter V GDPR (such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).
7. Your rights
With regard to the processing of your data, you may at any time request:
- information about and access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR),
- rectification of your data (Article 16),
- erasure of your data (Article 17),
- restriction of processing (Article 18),
- data portability (Article 20),
- and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21).
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. Please send your request to info@metalfusion.hu; we will respond within one month at the latest.
8. Data security
The website is only available over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Incoming data is only accessible to staff members who need it to handle the quote request or order.
9. Remedies
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the law, please contact us first so that we can resolve the issue together. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11.; postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9.; email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu; naih.hu) or bring the matter before a court, including the regional court of your place of residence.
10. Cookies
By default the website only stores the settings necessary for it to work. Analytics cookies are activated only after your explicit consent.
- Necessary (always active):
mf-lang,mf-theme-v2,mf-consent— store your language, display and consent choices in your browser (localStorage); never sent to an external server. - Analytics (only with consent): Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*), with anonymised IP addresses, for aggregate visitor statistics. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. - Marketing: the website currently does not use advertising cookies.
- Embedded map: when the Google Map on the Contact page loads, Google may process the visitor's IP address in accordance with its own privacy policy.
