Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
What file should I send for 3D printing?
A 3D model, for example in STL or STEP format. If you only have a drawing, we can discuss creating the model as part of our CAD–CAM design service.
What materials do you print in?
Material and printing process are agreed based on the intended use: a fit check, a presentation model and a functional part have different requirements. Describe the loads or environment the part must withstand.
When is 3D printing a better choice than CNC machining?
For quick samples, fit checks and complex shapes in small quantities. If the part must be metal with tight tolerances, CNC milling or turning may be the right choice; we decide together based on the model.
